A new born baby born via cesarean section presents with an umbilical abnormality. On examination a granulation covered induration is seen at the umbilicus. The lesion has a small orifice through which straw color fluid leaks when the baby cries. The baby also has associated undescended testis but is otherwise normal in all other aspects.
A radio opaque dye was injected through the orifice and the plain X-ray taken shows filling of urinary bladder. What is this anomaly called? Source: Ming-Shian Tsai, M.D., Ph.D., and Ming-Lun Yeh, M.D. N Engl J Med 2011; 365:1328October 6, 2011DOI: 10.1056/NEJMicm1101177
