In an unfortunate incident, an orthopedic surgeon was beaten badly leading to tearing in ear drum along with other major injuries by sons and husband of the woman patient, just for telling cause of her knee pain. Reason being woman depressed knowing about her disease. Knowing reality, they charged doctor of doing harassment and speaking of ill words. Police registered a case against attendants under IPC 107/151. Is it possible to avoid such incidents in future?
In my opinion, it is not possible due to the sick mentality of people against doctors. What is your opinion? Kindly share.
