Bedside teaching is considered an essential component of medical education for practical hands-on training. Despite bedside teaching being a vital tool in medical education, its practice has declined from 75% of all clinical training in the 1960s to approximately 9% in the current times. The current faculty development programs for the educational processes and realistic expectations may help overcome the problems associated with the declining practice of bedside teaching.
