Today I did a post-martum of 60 years female. There were bluish streaks of veins around neck extending upto hand. Fingers were bluish. All internal organs were deeply congested. Lungs were also deeply congested with haemorrhagic spots all suggesting asphyxia but no injury, trachea and larynx were congested normal i.e. no injury.
Brief history: this lady was found dead in her home while she was alone. Her relative charged other inlaws for suffocating her. Although her lungs and internal organs were deeply congested, there was no injury, no sign of struggle. Her face was also not s/o suffocation. What could be the cause of these streaks and death?
