This drug acts by competitive antagonist at Benzodiazepine (BZD) receptor. Flumazenil has little clinical on Respiratory system and cardiovascular system. The drug is administered parental usually intravenously and intranasally for immediate action, The drug is only metabolized in liver (liver diseases extra care to be taken) and it's metabolites are excreted in urine. Doses: 0.2mg bolus, up to 3 mg to reverse BZD actions sedation, Respiratory depression.
