A glomus tympanicum tumor is a rare benign vascular tumor of the middle ear. It originates from the paraganglion cells of the glomus tympanicum and along the tympanic branch of the glossopharyngeal nerve. Glomus tympanicum tumors may present with hearing loss, pulsatile tinnitus, and ear fullness. Surgical removal, radiation therapy, or combination therapy can be implemented depending on the size and characteristics of the tumor. However, close monitoring and follow-up are essential due to the potential for recurrence.
