A patient told his personal experience with a reputed cardiac surgeon of our country who was told that his three valves of the heart are damaged and, the repair will cost Rs 7.5 lac, of with reference to his known doctor treatment cost reduced to Rs 5.75 lacs. Check up on the patient in other cardiac center confirmed damage of one valve only. It is unbelievable that a doctor can go to such an extent defaming the image of a noble profession to a commercial one.
