For the last few years we had been hearing stories of assault on doctors performing their duties.Almost all of us have encountered some form of abuse at some time of our duties. So this was a surprise this time A 6-7 years old boy visited me for a complaint of acute URI with pyrexia. While just doing routine examination I heard a murmur in heart.I asked leading questions regarding breathlessness ,cyanosis and repeated URI but the answer was negative as told by mother.
But since it was the first visit by this patient I did not have a rapport. So I told the mother to go for Echo explaining further that it is not an emergency 2nd Visit by this patient was after 2 years and I had forgotten about the previous visit.
