Some physicians have claimed that difficult embryo transfers diminish the pregnancy and implantation rates in In- vitro fertilization (IVF) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). However, some studies have found no relationship between the difficulty of embryo transfer and the pregnancy and implantation rate. In the light of above, recently, a meta-analysis of 636 patients reported that difficult embryo transfers reduce the pregnancy and implantation rates significantly for patients undergoing IVF.
