Patients often come alone to visit us. Although it’s a guideline for every doctor to see a female patient in presence of an attendant, this is more feasible in a hospital setting where an on-duty lady staff is present. It’s not the scenario in the private clinic. With a growing number of false allegations against doctors nowadays we should be more cautious.
What should you IDEALLY do in such cases? Should you refuse the young lady just because she’s without an attendant? Would installing a CCTV camera in your clinic be more advisable? Please share your views!
