Recently, Telangana medical council released a notification regarding compulsory one yr sr ship in govt set up after completion of pg for anyone who wants to do even private practice. It is made mandatory even if u have MCI registration and being registered as a specialist in Indian medical register. Can anyone throw some light on what are the laws and acts governing this?

Can a state medical council take any action against doctors not registering with them?
