A 35-year-old woman presented with a complaint of a burning sensation behind the chest bone that traveled towards the neck for the past three weeks. She reported that these symptoms occurred up to three times a week, and she would occasionally wake up in the middle of the night due to them. She also reported nausea, burp, and heartburn after a meal.

She was a social worker and had two children. She also admitted going for occasional late-night corporate dinners and that she enjoyed Mexican cuisine.
