Car exhausts are potent sources of carbon monoxide. Fire in small rooms with inefficient ventilation is dangerous. This may occur in suicidal attempts or accidents in course of Hypoxaemia Headache, restlessness, dizziness and weakness. Complications of carbon monoxide poisoning include psychic, neurological deficit, myocardial ischaemia or infarction. Management:- Intensive supportive care & removal from polluted area/atmosphere. Ventilation with 100% oxygen& IPPV. Sodium bicarbonate to correct acidosis. Adequate IPPV for resp acidosis.…
