The Tripura District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission recently dismissed a medical negligence case against a gynecologist and the hospital, in which the petitioner claimed that a newborn’s right leg was fractured due to the doctors' negligence during a breech delivery. Case history A woman had a Cesarean delivery in the respondent hospital, but soon after, it was noticed that the newborn baby was constantly crying and that his crying was loud whenever his right leg was touched.
