Repeated cases of medical negligence of leaving medical instruments in the human body after surgery have been reported where gross negligence has been discussed by various doctors. It has been stated that as preventive measures the number of instruments should be counted before and after surgery. In a reputed hospital a Woman has undergone surgery in gastroenterology ward. After 3 months Woman again reported with persistent abdominal pain.

On USG abdomen, two forceps were left in the abdomen during surgery. Hospital administration operated the Woman to remove forceps as the first priority of relieving patient's pain. Later on, the enquiry has been marked. Source- India times What is your opinion on this case?
