Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination remains a cornerstone of cervical cancer prevention, offering protection against high-risk HPV types responsible for the majority of cervical cancer cases. Recent updates emphasize the efficacy of the nonavalent HPV vaccine, which covers nine HPV types, including those most associated with cervical cancer and genital warts. Vaccination is recommended for preteens aged 11–12, with catch-up vaccination advised for individuals up to age 26. For healthcare providers, patient education on the importance of early vaccination and adherence to screening guidelines is crucial to reducing the burden of cervical cancer.
