Case presentation A four-year-old male with autism spectrum disorder presented to the emergency department with a complaint of gradually worsening lower extremity weakness for the last four hours. The patient fell from a three-foot-tall bed and hit his forehead on the ground four days ago. He was examined twice at different hospitals and discharged without performing any imaging tests.

The patient had a few episodes of nonbilious and non-bloody vomiting, persistent headache, subjective fever, and decreased activity.
