“Doctor, please tell my son to exercise, he never listens to me and is always just sitting doing nothing, I am sick and tired of it to the extent that now I have decided to give up on him” a mother visibly upset on her obese son not being able to lose weight was sorely complaining in the clinic. “I take so many efforts but all in vain”, she continues! The doctor is then expected to repeat the exact same sentences to the child (otherwise the parents will choose a ‘better doctor’ than him).
The child simply listens (choosing to not even look at the doctor) and nods his head in approval and the consultation ends only to be followed by a similar consultation after few months, that too if the family chooses to come back.
