Type 2 diabetes is a progressive disease, and most patients eventually need insulin to achieve euglycemia. However, initiating insulin therapy is not without challenges. Many of the times psychological resistance is prominent in initiating the insulin therapy. Sometimes patients feels this is the beginning of the end, or sometimes fear taking the injection, lack understanding and thus non-adherence can be higher.
