After a patient undergoes PTCA or CABG, the commonest complaint is once again chest pain after a few months to one year. How to approach this chest pain is an important work up in Cardiology especially in India. The over anxiety is also to be noted because of their previous experience along with relatives misinterpretation most of the time. The following possibilities are to be considered. 1.
In post CABG most of the time it is muscular chest pain. 2. In the case of bilateral IMA usage which is not done by all the CTS in India, because of less blood supply to the muscles of the front of the chest, the chest pain may have complained and needs explanation to the patient earlier if possible during the first review visit, by the CTS which is not done practically. 3.
