Having worked for medical education since 1977 through the founding of the National Medicos Organisation (NMO) and toured some 181 medical colleges of the country, I am sorry to say that the healthcare of the countrymen would be solved only by increasing number of MBBS or PG doctors. Recently I came to know that one of my students is a BSc (Nursing) done, an only married woman amongst 3 batches of some 450 students and also a mother of a baby. She is dutiful. Always present in classes and replies to the satisfaction.
I tried to undergo a mental turmoil since I never digested the fact that Physics, Chemistry, Biology intelligence can make a doctor good?
