A 20 year old female complained of a severe sore throat of 20 days duration. On examination, she showed the presence of ulcers and dirty membranous lesions in the oropharynx and the oral cavity. She gave a history of having typhoid fever 2 weeks prior to the present condition for which she received antibiotic therapy and was still receiving injections of that antibiotic.
