Laparoscopic surgery is an advanced and complicated process. The complications of laparoscopy may include abdominal access for the camera and port placement, abdominal insufflation, tissue dissection, and hemostasis. Several situations may warrant the need to convert the surgery to open the form. Some of the most challenging laparoscopic surgeries can be a hernia, bowel, and solid organ surgeries. Although much literature is available on the same, experience-based guidance is of utmost importance.
