Death is inevitable. But we as doctors are involved with the care of patients and on occasions have to deal with death of a patient. Intensive care specialists, and surgeons face the burden more than the others. It is surgeons who get directly involved in spite of doing their best.
When it comes to critical care, the doctors there are indirectly involved . Now, my question is whether any of you when directly involved, have sent or considered sending a condolence letter to the bereaved family. And what are your thoughts about this?
