The deaths due to COVID-19 have been rising worldwide. In India, the number of cases is increasing, and recently the country has witnessed its third death, thus raising a nationwide alarm. The first two deaths due to COVID-19 in India were reported in Karnataka and Delhi, and now the third victim is a 64-year-old man from Maharashtra who died in Kasturba Hospital, Mumbai.

The patient had reportedly returned from Dubai. According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), out of a total of 166 cases, Maharashtra reported the highest number of confirmed cases (45), followed by Kerala (27).
