Quite often, following unfavorable outcome of treatment or suboptimal outcome, or for other reasons (e.g. not wanting to pay your bill!), patients or their relatives make allegations of negligence against the treating doctors/hospitals. What are the various types of allegations? Firstly, allegations may be oral or written. Oral allegations may be in person (face-to-face) or telephonic. Written allegations may be via hard copy or nowadays commonly, by soft copy viz.
