Doctors at one of the hospitals in Delhi have successfully performed a highly complex modified Whipple procedure on a 65-year-old woman with bile duct cancer, despite the challenges posed by a previous major cancer surgery. The patient had undergone an Ivor Lewis esophagectomy six years earlier for esophageal cancer, making the anatomy significantly altered and the surgery particularly demanding.
