The Delhi Medical Council has issued a public notice addressing the issue of health facilities, including hospitals and nursing homes, employing doctors and other medical staff who are unqualified/underqualified or qualified in different branches of medicine to treat patients. The Council insisted that employing unqualified or underqualified doctors and medical staff is a punishable offense under the law . They requested all hospital owners to verify the credentials of their employees. In addition, the Council instructed visiting doctors to ensure their patients are under the care of qualified healthcare professionals.
