Dengue is aacute viral febrile illness. Caused by one of four serotypes of flavi virus . It is transmitted by the bite of aedes misquoto infected with Dengue virus . The intubation period ranges from 7to 10 days. It may be in the form of epidemic in developing countries Children are more susceptible.

The disease course is not predictable and presentation. Majority patients develop minor symptoms & only severe cases suffer, often with life threatening complications.
