Synopsis Periodontitis is clinically found in the form of gingivitis or periodontal pockets. Chronic gingivitis is primarily caused by dental plaque. Hence, regular cleaning of the interdental regions is essential to remove plaque and prevent gingivitis and periodontitis. Dental floss is the most affordable way of achieving good dental health apart from regular brushing.
