Oral diseases are one of the increasing public health concerns in low and middle-income regions. Dental public health (DPH) services aim to establish preventive and curable strategies to address these oral health anomalies. There is also a wide scope for preventive dentists to understand the distribution and determinants of oral diseases to educate, motivate, and promote oral health in diverse groups. Employing more dentists in the public sector, strengthening DPH education and research, and combining general healthcare programs with oral health programs can help improve the oral health of a population.
