A 23-year-old dental student in Bengaluru was found dead by suicide in her bedroom, triggering allegations of harassment by faculty members and student protests demanding accountability. Following a complaint by the student’s mother, police have now booked six faculty members of a dental college for abetment to suicide and launched an investigation. The student was enrolled in the Oral Medicine and Radiology department. According to police, she had missed classes on January 7 due to eye pain.
