Case Presentation A 56-year-old woman presented to the ED with a complaint of abdominal pain. She experienced increasing severe pain in the upper abdomen 24 hours before the visit. She mentioned that the pain radiated to the back. She was also suffering from a feeling of nausea and fluctuating body temperature.
Medical History Five years ago, the patient was diagnosed with a duodenal ulcer, which was subsequently treated by Helicobacter eradication therapy. Social History Upon investigation, she revealed the habit of smoking 15 cigarettes a day and also sharing a bottle of wine each evening with her husband.
