Ulcers appear in the oropharyngeal mucosa membrane, on the skin, and in the gastrointestinal tract. Based on the location and severity, the ulcers can be destructive, that may lead to an emergency. Out of all locations, 19 % of mucocutaneous ulcers are in the gastrointestinal tract.
This patient case focuses on mucocutaneous ulcers that developed later into a tumor and required surgical resection.
