Dry eye disease (DED) one of the most frequently encountered clinical diagnosis in any ophthalmic practice. However, the management is often not in the lines of the severity of the disease. When patient's symptoms and eye examination looks within normal limits, lubricating drops are prescribed. If the problem still persists after few days/weeks, the patient is prescribed with another lubricating drop. Thus when dry eye disease is not diagnosed in time it complicates the issue.
