I think like me, you also must have come across to so many doctors and analyzed their ways of addressing an issue which we call symptom or disease. Some of them will start from the serious most differential diagnosis and then come downwards. Some will think of common problems and later go to serious health issues. Some may immediately jump to the conclusion even without any evidence to support.
Some will take the evidence too seriously even if the reports are wrong, concocted or deliberately changed. One may like to give empirically a cocktail of drugs and at the same time another colleague may like to wait till reasonable diagnosis is contemplated.
