An old age male patient came to me for tooth removal and complete denture fabrication. after examining him i suggest him to lower overdenture (rct of 37, 34, 44done ) instead of denture ,and FPD irt 17 to 22 (with all 5 underneath teeth rct 17,12,11,21,22),remaing maxilla was planned for RPD. Just 2 days after FPD fixing and overdenture given to him,pt came to me and complaints of watery diarrohea ,lack of apetite and thrust,viscous saliva.and said to remove FPD and told overdenture is already removed the day before.
He was not willing in any case with that FPD, i cut the bride from 13 to 16 (as i was planning if he is not ready with FPD in future maxillary overdenture can be planned as he was fine with lower overdenture because he can remove it by his wish).
