One of my patients went to consult a cardiologist 100 km away from my town and came to my clinic for consulting for her pain great toe which turned out to be due to hyperuricemia. I enquired the patient as to why didn't she mention the problem to her doctor and got the treatment from the same hospital so that she could have saved the time.

The patient answered me that they see only heart cases and they will scold if we say about some other problems. My query is: Do cardiologists listen to only heart-related issues?
