A government doctor allegedly jumped from the seventh floor of the building where he stayed with his wife Sangeeta. The deceased, Shiv Kumar Srivastava (45), a provincial medical services (PMS) doctor, had been transferred twice in the past one year but did not get the joining. Police said Srivastava, who was under depression, jumped from the balcony of his building on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. His wife Sangeeta is medical officer in the community health centre at Bakshi ka Talab. She was on duty at the time of the incident.
When informed about the incident, she reached the house only to find her husband lying in a pool of blood. The couple stayed in a multi-storey apartment building near IIM bypass in Madiaon.
