According to the recent findings, several trials are prolonged awaiting forensic science laboratories (FSL) reports. In this regard, the Supreme Court has asked the Center about a proposal to increase the FSLs in India. According to the Centre, there are problems of non-availability of forensic experts and technology across the country.
