Hi, I would like the pediatricians to please share their experiences in using Rapid Diagnostic Tests (Antigen based) for diagnosing Malaria in the Indian setting. I have had many children with Strong presumptive malaria with high fever, chills, and spleen.

Also the responses to the first day of Chloroquine were negative for RDT (& of course the smear as well). I am wondering that the literature seems to indicate a high specificity and sensitivity, but I am not so sure that if this is true in our settings.
