Sir. In my IVF lab, the incubators and AC showed fungal culture positive and the incubators after cleaning with 70% alcohol the culture came as fungal positive. I have done fumigation with 40% formalin for 12 hours and neutralised with ammonium chloride and the incubators also kept open for last 4 hours of fumigation. Then AC was put on after neutralisation.
Kindly let me know any special preperation of incubators are needed apart from cleaning with 70%alcohol and changing the water in trays. When repeat culture of incubators are to be done and what is the gap to be given before next cycle and fumigation?
