Terrorism is an unethical, ruthless violence that has severely affected us in the past couple of years. We, as healthcare specialists, are responsible to respond to the call of the nation and provide specialized services to the victims. It is our responsibility to be prepared for such disasters.
Our fundamental aim is to have a disaster management plan, rapid evacuation of all casualties from the incident scene and reduce mortality of critically injured patients. I am glad to share my experience in handling mass casualty situations and to highlight the focus areas for HCPs to keep in mind at such times.
