NITI Aayog has sought public opinion on the draft National Medical Commission Bill, 2016 that has already paved the way for replacing the Medical Council of India with a more transparent body to be called as the National Medical Commission. Let us go through the other recommendations of this bill that is supposed to bring radical transformation in healthcare education and service in India. The Committee on the Reform of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 chaired by Aayog's vice chairman Arvind Panagariya has sought comments, suggestions, feedback on the draft bill latest by August 31, 2016.
