Every corner of India clearly displays the increasing population. India is second most on the population rank in the world after China and soon may be the 1st country. The theme of this year World Population Day is “Birth Spacing: Empowering People, Developing Nations.” The birth rate is still higher than the death rate. The fertility rate due to the population policies and other measures has been falling but even then, it is much higher compared to other countries. Even after 70 years of independence, our country is unable to provide good healthcare due to over population.
