Following the deaths of women in Kota and Bikaner after developing complications following cesarean deliveries, a fresh cluster of serious postoperative cases has now been reported from Jodhpur, prompting health authorities to intensify investigations into maternal care outcomes across Rajasthan. At Paota District Hospital in Jodhpur, eight women who delivered via cesarean section on June 20 reportedly developed significant postoperative complications. Two patients required transfer to the intensive care unit at MDM Hospital, where they continue to receive advanced care.
