Eales Disease (ED) is a recurrent vit. haemorrhage occurring in a young healthy person. Since it is very prevalent in the Asian subcontinent, we do see many cases in India. It is not the only disease of veins but arteries are also affected.

It is also known as perivasculitis retinae. Secondly, it is due to pars planitis and chiro retinitis. Long back Dr. J M Pahwa working in a very famous eye hospital Sitapur did a lot of work on ED.
