Can early introduction of allergenic food prevent the development of food allergy? A recent survey reported that almost half of the mothers avoid giving allergenic foods to their infants due to the fear of development of food allergy. This publication synopsis is giving an overview of the study which was carried out to investigate whether early introduction of allergenic food in the diet of breast-fed infants can prevent the development of the food allergy. The food allergy is an abnormal immune response observed in children and also in adults.
