Within a week of demanding probe into allocation of more MBBS seats to a private medical college of Solan district, Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) president Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, on Sunday, constituted a committee of PCC office bearers headed by state general secretary and former health minister Ramlal Thakur to submit report on alleged irregularities in Maharshi Markandeshwar Medical College and Hospital, Kumarhatti, Solan. Sukhu said that Ram Lal Thakur would be assisted by Harbhajan Singh Bhajji, PCC general secretary; Kailash Prashar, PCC vice-president; Harshwardhan Chauhan, PCC general secretary; Rahul Thakur, president, DCC Solan; and Ramesh Chauhan, chairman, Khadi and Gram Udyog Board, as members of the committee.
