Mastocytosis is the condition that can occur in both children and adults. The presence of abnormally abundant mast cells in the body develops mastocytosis. It is present in both systemic and cutaneous form. This article is an attempt to provide a strategy to evaluate mastocytosis in pediatric patients . Mast cells are the cells which are present but not limited to vital organs where they play a critical role in defending these organs from diseases.

The Mast cells stimulate other key players of the immune defense system to areas of the body where they are necessary in releasing chemical “alarms” such as histamine and cytokines. Sometimes, the number of mast cells in the organs becomes too high, thus exhibiting various symptoms.
